37th Tuesday & 38th Tuesday (yep I have slacked, I suck)

I am so far behind, like a week and a half on my blogging. I've been very busy, though, in my defense. Shade had been sick with an ear infection that required two rounds of antibiotics and two rounds of steroids. We tried azithromycin once a day x7 days, and 10mg of prednisolone twice a day x 5days, to no avail, his ears got worse. So we then introduced cefprozil twice a day x10 days (which he finished up his last dose this evening finally) and a 5mg once a day dose of the prednisone x3 days again. He has done nothing but EAT since he felt a little better, I'm telling you he could put away 3 thanksgiving Shadey sized meals by himself in like 10 minutes. Even this morning he's had a whole cup of milk in his big boy cup with a silly straw, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, and 2 chocolate chip pancakes. Garbage. gut.

Anyhoo, in 3 days, Emma would've been 9 months old. That means that  in 3 months, we will be celebrating her 1st birthday, which she should be celebrating here, but instead is celebrating in heaven, and we will do our best to memorialize her beautiful, brief life with us. We worked on her grave some for memorial day. I always keep it up and nice looking, but I decided since whoever weed eated the graveyard decided to ALSO weed eat down her morning glory and part of her ground cover flowers...that I would go and instead buy a bunch of random knick-knacks and things to spruce it up. I wasn't expecting her plants to be all messed up when I went, grrr.

IN 3 months that also means, after we celebrate her 1st birthday, that Isaac will be here in 20 short days with no bad luck. When I say I'm only 5 months pregnant, 20 weeks, etc etc it seems like such a long time til my surgery date. However, when I say like, 3 months and some odd days it sounds much shorter? Again, just like last summer I'd hate to wish the summer away, but you know the deal. Next time, the plan is to NOT have a fall baby, but maybe a spring baby, lol.

Since then, summer classes have started. I am in a dilemma on them as well. I can't sign on to work FT for 2 years at MMH because my NP program will likely NOT allow me to work full time AND do clinical, so I am going to have to put my classes on a 12-month payment plan, defer my student loans, OR work out some sort of deal to where EKU will let me go ahead and start my master's program, and pay my remaining debt with my student loan/financial aid refund. I dunno how that's gonna go but its my only choice. Puts me back a bit, but whatever. I have to do what I have to do. Statistics can and will kill me.

On the 16th, we went to Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park and celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary. Tommy ordered me a fitbit for mother's day/anniversary. We had a decent lunch and it poured the rain all the way over there, like blinding can't see rain but cleared up just in time for us to let Shade play on the playground and walk by the lake. True buckhorn fashion, lol.

Fast forward a week, and 3 more shifts of 12 hours at the ER- and Angie married Curly. It was a nice, simple ceremony, and I took a few photos for them afterward. I think it suited them perfectly. They are packing up and moving to Somerset. Definitely a change...and even more changes coming in the future. Not sure exactly how I feel about it. I never thought about it til right now...and I am going to ignore it now. lol.

At infrequent intervals, I will think "I haven't seen hide nor hair of Emma... where has she been?" Because I haven't seen signs in a while. Or felt much of anything, or seen her in a dream, still. But, then I'll step out on the porch and hear her chimes, her saying hello.

I went to my 20 week checkup Wednesday with Shade, and he was such a good boy. Isaac was VERY cooperative. Shade told Dr. Sink that his named was Isaac, but he would rather name him "Ardidy" whatever that is....? lol. But when I got to the vehicle and really looked at the pics I realized that he looks SO much like Emma did in utero. her 26 week scan when we got a 3d of her, even though she had the cord in front of her face and the placenta up against her, he looks so similar! It makes me think maybe he'll be a good sized baby after all even though he's coming at only 37w.

I really believe this was also a sign from her, she had a hand in this...
We ordered the onesie above for him to take pics in and maybe to wear in the hospital :)

I even was told several times that he looks like me :)

Shade had his head start screening Thursday (day before yesterday). He blew it out of the water. The staff doing the screening seemed to be incredibly impressed with him on all levels EXCEPT standing on one leg, LOL. I was so sick I could barely stand, so I spent it sitting, sipping on ice water to lube my cactus reamed throat. This sinus infection brought to you by tree pollen has been quite possibly THE worst one yet. But at least I hope it'll be gone by vacation instead of having a repeat of beach vaca 2013. I don't want to remind everyone of what a bitch I was that year. haha.

I had so much to do on my days off and spent a good 2 of them being unproductive (and trying to finish this week's and part of next week's homework) so today, unfortunately is catch-up day.
Anyway...
I'll leave you this picture of this heavenly little almost 9 month old girl <3
xoxo
