Spent today (which was beautiful by the way, not in a December type weather) doing wedding shower stuff... was up early & by early I mean 8ish...to get ready. Headed to Hazard & got my banking done, picked up my monthly meds, exchanged some stuff @ Rue21, and picked up Jessi's wedding cake @ WalMart...and some gift bags for her gifts.
Headed on over to Wheelwright to help put the finishing touches on the decor which they had basically already finished. I was supposed to be early, but everywhere I went there were 320958 people (1st of the month, much?) & lets face it, I'm never on time. I could NOT get out of bed this morning. I practically had to beg myself to shower. I even accidentally left a almost completely eaten bowl of cereal above the toilet in the bathroom.
The shower was fun, I tried to eat to my heart's content but alas I was full and miserable after a few bites as per the usual :\ her gifts were awesome & the games were fun. Afterward we cleaned up & took all her gifts to Jay's house & she showed me around there at their humble abode, then we went back to her house & I assisted her in registering for the boards & so on & tried to find a way to cheat Saunder's disc. No luck. Headed back home, stopped @ the McDowell IGA - Mt dew was 3/$10, couldn't resist because Tommy drinks so much.
Much to my whole day away from home, Tommy tells me that Shade chucks his bottle across the room (That's a no-no btw) and he turns around & gives Shade a stern look, he proceeds to smack his own self on the hand and yell a stern "NO!". My baby is silly and so intelligent. He turns around and walks away like nothing happened. I wish he could stay in this stage, he is such a delight to be around, laughs by the barrel.
We missed the Treehouse poets series again tonight, but I was busy today & wouldn't have been back in time. But January 5th, I will make sure I go.
Now I must succumb to some NCLEX questions & some other random stuff after getting Shade dried, lotioned up, & his nails trimmed. I wanted to upload some pics of recent shoots/previews or even just Jessi's shower, but that will have to wait.
Full day of shoots tomorrow, I have a total of FIVE in the studio. I need to be that busy but I kind of wish I wasn't because my whole weekend will be gone by the time I'm done. I also have to clean out my car before Monday because my last week of class starts back & Jessi & I are due in Lexington to pick up my bridesmaid dress after class & I do not like traveling in a skank-nasty car.
Anyhoo...til next time...hopefully the next blog will be less boring. Maybe...
