i don't think i've ever had all of my christmas shopping done this early... i've been completely finished for like a week. and this even includes people that i originally hadn't planned on buying for. ha, that's nice of me, right?
i completed my last week of nursing classes this week. i fought the urge to be a lazy ass and not even go in the last 2-3 days since my grades were already posted, BUT i got up at the crack of dawn and went anyway. the good thing about that was since i was in the vicinity anyway so early like a responsible person should be, i stopped by at ARH and scored a few prospective job offers. hopefully i will hear more next week about that.
still no closer to figuring out what my tummy troubles are, as i laid last night begrudgingly watching Duck Dynasty (which btw i ended up liking and want to watch more now), which was good so i want to watch more, due to my slightly nauseated stomach. i had a gallbladder and liver u/s Friday and it is probably going to be inconclusive because the tech mentioned i'd probably have to end up having a hida scan. which i am NOT looking forward to but if i can get this on the move asap, that will be good. i will be uninsured for a few months soon.
speaking of being uninsured, this is why.,. Tommy accepted a new job in IT at Kentucky Pain Physicians. so yes, he will be leaving MBH/ARH after a long almost 8 year stretch there. he is so excited to leave a place that has treated him like crap the past 2 years and stole his bonuses and refused to even give him SICK days for when his own child was hospitalized, and wouldn't even let him get paid as much as all the other IT employees who no doubt have LESS education and have not even worked there as long as he has. so good riddance, more money for us, and a better job at an employer that seems to give a crap about him. his last day is wednesday the 19th and he starts at KPP on the 20th. and he won't have to take a random 1 week unpaid vacation in the winter for this company. this takes such a burden off us because he will be happier, have better hours, won't be asked to be on call and not even get paid for it, and it will be more money for us. once i start work this should really be good for us and we might for once be financially stable. the only down side is that he won't be eligible for insurance until April 1st. and i need to get my stomach probs corrected asap before our last 30 days run out, and i have to take Shade to the dentist for his first dentist appt before that runs out too. hopefully none of us get sick :|
as i look down to my right, i see the sweetest little blue eyes looking up at me saying "go?" because he wants to go somewhere (i don't know where?). and he is so amazed with the Christmas tree and the presents under it. after Christmas is over i will be more than ready for winter to end because as much as i love to see him in awe of all the wonder that this season holds, after Christmas, i have nothing to awe at besides freezing to death and being partially depressed lol.
time for me to get some housework done, and let my little stinker "help". got lots of straightening and cleaning and laundry to do hopefully before i head out to a shoot in the studio on this dreary day. and btw i just realized my couch desperately needs pillows. decorative, but useful. like pretty, but also that you could lay your head on if needed. i hope i get a chance to take a nap with my boys today after my shoot. that would be nice.
xoxo
