rainy Friday
It's a rainy, dreary summer day here.
Started the day off with sleeping in with my stinker. Then I popped some chocolate chip muffins in the oven. The dishwasher got unloaded, and reloaded from what dishes were in the sink. I decided I may as well clorox wipe the counters and table down while the muffins were in the oven. Shade was anticipating them, and was already impatiently waiting in his high chair. So, I turned my favorite 90s alt rock station on spotify and danced around to some manson while I vaccuumed, which entertained Shadey thoroughly while he was snacking on some raisins & milk. Once vacuuming and mopping was done, and muffins were eaten, we decided the rest of the day would be better left for lazy. Yes there are 3 loads of laundry; a load of whites, a load of towels, and a load of darks just ready and waiting to be folded. And i have a set of previews that need to go up and at least one set of proofs if not two to finish up this weekend. And a homework assignment. But hubby announced he would get off work at 1, so today I think is best left to lazy.
Speaking of homework, I have this weekly assignment due, a quiz in class next week, and then our final paper for this summer class due the last week of this month and it's over. For a couple weeks, I will have a break in class...then starts semester 3 of BSN. There is a girl who started just the summer before the fall semester began that I started and she's already started her masters program. Wtf? How'd I get that far behind? No fair.
This fall and winter will be busy. New baby, new set of classes, trying to get all our finances lined out, hopefully being in a decent enough financial spot for me to be able to take off work for a few weeks at least. Obviously our goal of building on to the house before baby Emma is here failed. But we're working on that, although by the time we are done fixing all of our financial woes this summer and through fall, we will be able to accomplish that within the next year.
Emma's bassinet is put together. I still need to get her car seat, and install the car seat Tommy's going to use in his car. We need a few more necessities but we are hoping to possibly get those at the shower if we ever figure out when and if to even have one.
Now that hubby is home and lunch has Ben eaten, I suppose the rest of the day shall be left to watching some SOA, and being lazy.
We are taking a quick trip to Corbin tomorrow morning so he can drop off his slide on his glock to get it finished, which is something hes been wanting for a while. I see a latte in my future. Then of course I had to agree to work a day shift at the nursing home Sunday as bad as I don't want to. Hopefully, I can manage to get hubby to mow the grass and weed eat around the house as it looks like a jungle and I need to go ahead and finish my flower beds. It's technically crunch time.
So many things, so little time, yet I kind of want to fast forward and not be pregnant. I'm extremely uncomfortable. Lol.
I feel like we haven't done enough this summer. Hopefully we can get to the water park maybe next weekend or week after. I just wanna do fun stuff with my boys. I always feel like I waste summer away, seeing as I spend 99% of winter anticipating summer. I feel like I never make the most of it. As much as I love fall, as short lived as it is, summer will always be my favorite.
Xoxo xoxo
