Product Review Time!

I recently purchased this from Sephora. http://www.sephora.com/lash-power-mascara-long-wearing-formula-P206900?skuId=1060730

I paid $16 for it. I consider that expensive, relatively. I usually pay $20 for Benefit's "They're Real" which comes in a much bigger tube. Which brings me to complaint #1 .... Size. Small tube. Wand is super small. Complaint #2 - put no less than 6 coats on it - lashes looked super thin. I have thin/short lashes anyway, and separation is normally a good thing, but only if you're going to also define and add body/thickness. Complaint #3, goes right along with #2, it did NOT define and volumize. It did, however, last all day... and didn't flake or smudge, but, I looked like I basically wet my lashes and nothing else. I will stick to my regular mascara. So, unless you already have naturally long, thick lashes...don't waste your money.

I also purchased this for $26. After reading many reviews, and looking for bang for your buck, I went with it. It is moderately priced for a higher end sunless tanner. So far, so good. I have only applied it once. It has a decent smell, didn't leave me smelling too 'self tanner'-ish, and you can really see where you're applying it (it is a charcoal color). I think I probably didn't apply enough as I mixed it with my own lotion (just a little trick I learned off the internet that has been very beneficial to me of late when applying self tanner). I will probably not mix it with my own lotion next time so I can see whether or not it makes a difference. I don't have any streaking, and with a good hand wash, no self tanner hands. I also used it on my face. Again, I think I need to re-apply to be able to provide a full review (which is why I haven't left an official beauty review on the site yet). With the amount I used, this bottle should last a good while. However, like I said, I may not have used enough, really.

I got one of these towelettes free with my points. I have been wanting to try them. I am not really that impressed. It didn't really tan my face that much. Pros: Smell is minimum. Can cut towelettes in half to maximize usage. Doesn't dry skin out. Doesn't smell bad afterward (that I can tell). Cons:  They don't come in any other colors (might need a darker color)? Expensive.
I can't honestly say that I would purchase these, just because they're expensive, and they didn't really tan my face that great. When looking for a facial tanner, since my face will just not tan very well, I want to see a dramatic difference, and at least match the rest of my tanned body.

I purchased this, because I was out. Now this, is my go to. I can literally wear this and powder (if I'm not SUPER broken out) on my face and be okay. The color matches my skin almost perfect (hard to do as I can be kind of a yellow-toned person). I get color #2. It has done me since sometime in September, and I use it pretty much daily. Yes its $20, but it lasted me 6+ months. The color stayed matching to my skin even in the winter, except when I finally got too pale to go out in public...lol. And it also is fine once I get to my more tan shade. It has a way of blending in with your skin tone somehow. This is my #1 most recommended item of makeup, that I will ALWAYS spend the extra money on, regardless of what else I am using on my face. I do use a brush to apply this ( http://www.sephora.com/pro-airbrush-concealer-brush-57-P313020?skuId=1419480 ) similar to this one. I know its pricey, and I'm not really into spending tons of $$ on makeup or products, but its a one time purchase and it will cover just about anything. And if anyone knows about covering zits and breakouts, its me. Trust me on this. I would NOT use this as an under-eye concealer. This is for blemishes and discoloration, and is thick. So I wouldn't use it on wrinkly or baggy areas, lol. It lasts all day, doesn't smudge or rub off really, unless you really rub at it, yet is easily removed with soap and water and washcloth or makeup remover. It has yet to break me out or anything, seems to be pretty mild.  I have also went swimming, sweated, and other watery type activities with this on my face someway and noticed little fading. They do tell you its industrial strength. Just saying!

This was a freebie with my haul this time, as I for some reason, like an idiot, didn't spend the extra $7 and just order the full size tube of this. Its normally $23 for the bigger tube. It has lasted me almost 6 months. I have crappy short, thin, sparse eyelashes and this stuff makes me look like a normal girl, lol. I probably didn't legit use this every day, because sometimes I don't take my eye makeup off and if I'm not going anywhere special the next day, it can ride over. Separates, defines, volumizes, lengthens, anything you ask for in a mascara. Doesn't clump. Doesn't smudge. Doesn't flake. A bit hard to remove, but I use an eye makeup remover from Rimmel that costs about $4 from wal-mart on a round swissper pad...takes care of it easily. This is another thing I will always spend the extra money on.

I got this as a freebie my last purchase several months ago. I finally got around to using it. Wasn't crazy about it. Especially not $30/bottle crazy. It had a decent smell, and I used a blow dryer & round brush on my hair after I applied it. It did almost nothing for my hair, in fact, it round brushed out fuzzier and less straight than usual, to where I HAD to use my straightener, which I rarely have to do on the same day as a wash. I plan to try and use it again, combined with the B&B surf shampoo I list below that I got as a freebie, just to check it out. Overall, I have to say I would not recommend.

These next two items, were freebies, and I can't review them yet, as I haven't had a chance to use them...BUT I am posting them so I can review them later on.

(I can already tell you I won't be paying $40 for an oil treatment)

http://www.sephora.com/surf-foam-wash-shampoo-P378842?skuId=1519420
I can also tell you I won't be paying $24-26 for 8.5 oz of shampoo or conditioner.

And that is my product review for today... Maybe more later :)
xoxo
