Tips and Tricks Tuesday (Beauty Blog)

Just a couple quick product reviews!

Over the past month or so, of course with the super cold temps, my skin I have noticed getting super super dry. Like, dryer than usual in the winter. I don't know if its because I am getting older, or because its been colder than usual, or what... but definitely more dry and itchy and bumpy. *(talking about body skin here, even though my face is a pimply lizard as well)* ... So I have to on occasion, take a break from my lovely VS & Bath & Body Works and use a different lotion. I have come to like this one:

It can be found at walmart for around $6 I think? It has a light, fresh smell, and you can always go back later and add some bath and body works or VS over it, lol!

Moving along to the next dry part of my body, lol.. I have found over the past year ( I've had the container a while, and love it ) when my heels/bottom of my feet get dry, that this stuff rocks. ::::

I got it at Sally's, best I can remember it was about $5. You just turn the bottom of it and its literally like a giant lip balm. I always put it on after I shower, and then put socks on to seal in the moisture. Sometimes I do this just before bed if I don't shower at that time. My favorite way to use it, however, is after a shower/bath when I have just scrubbed my feet with a pumice stone, and then immediately after patting dry, apply this and put on socks. It really has made a difference. Smells a bit like a cough drop, but nothing I can't stand.

My last product review for this entry is for the face. Same thing here, dry peeling skin, and breakouts. Which I always struggle with, just being pregnant, I can't tell whether its pregnancy or the weather. Or a combo of both. But my skin is dry and peeling, yet breaking out. So I decided to try and go with a super moisturizer so that my skin wouldn't have to worry about producing oil. I chose to use this::::

I love all of their other products, and frequently use the Apricot scrub on my face. I have realized that the less irritation on my face the less breakouts, for ME. I have even been leaving my makeup on for the past 2 weeks over night just to keep from having to wipe it off. It has seemed to help. But then, I got a sty in my eye, from leaving mascara on, I assume, So I decided if I was going to leave the rest on, I could at least use some eye makeup remover, lol. And I have been using the Apricot cleanser (not the scrub) instead when I wash in the shower, or whenever. I am hoping this very moisturizing, less irritable skin routine will help me through the winter.

I am going for a spray tan Friday at Sun Tan City - which I have used before and was pleased. Still on the look-out for an affordable self-tanner though. Because spray tan just isn't long lasting enough for the price. I will post before/after photos of skin though regarding the spray tan just for info purposes. So anyone with any advice, let me know!

This concludes my review blog for today...

xoxo
